- Metro Nashville's Bridge Maintenance and Management Program
Metro Nashville's Bridge Maintenance and Management Program is an asset managment program for the Department of Public Works. In the program, Metro-owned bridges are inspected and rehabilitated as necessary. The program is responsible for review of TDOT's biannual bridge inspection reports and preventative maintenance for more than 350 structures.
In the first year of the program, a total of 121 bridges were either rehabilitated or marked for replacement.
Civic’s responsibilities include providing the guidance and expertise required to manage all aspects of the administration, planning, design and construction observation phases of the program, along with the design and implementation of a Bridge Maintenance Management System. The scope of the program has necessitated that the work be divided into several hundred individual projects.
