The State Route 462 project is a 1.55 mile long, roadway widening project requested by the Tennessee Department of Transportation. The roadway will be widened from two lanes to four lanes within the limits of the project (State Route 28 to Genesis Road). The roadway is expected to increase its traffic volume from approximately 6600 vehicles daily to more than 10,600 vehicles daily over the next twenty years.
